Pink tourmaline symbolizes friendship, compassion, and transformation. The name Tourmaline comes from a Sinhalese (Sri Lankan) word turamali – loosely translated as “mixed” and used to describe assortments of multicolored gemstone pebbles found in local regions where sand and sediment were once deposited by running water.
Tourmaline is thought to increase one’s ability to heal, helping ease communication, and imparting compassion, wisdom, acceptance and sympathy towards others. It also balances opposing types of energy and imparts self-confidence and serenity upon the wearer. Pink tourmaline is said to attract love and friendship. Pink tourmaline also influences the heart, the thymus, and the circulatory system, skin, blood and adrenal system.
All of these are wonderful reasons to wear pink tourmaline as a pendant, but maybe you are simply drawn to its beauty. Always wear stones you like, stones that draw you to them.

The spiritual path is not a solo endeavor. In fact, the very notion of a self who is trying to free her/himself is a delusion. We are in it together and the company of spiritual friends helps us realize our interconnectedness. ~ Tara Brach

Sonnets from the Portuguese No. 14 by Elizabeth Barrett Browning
If thou must love me, let it be for nought
Except for love’s sake only. Do not say
‘I love her for her smile—her look—her way
Of speaking gently,—for a trick of thought
That falls in well with mine, and certes brought
A sense of pleasant ease on such a day’—
For these things in themselves, Belovèd, may
Be changed, or change for thee,—and love, so wrought,
May be unwrought so. Neither love me for
Thine own dear pity’s wiping my cheeks dry,—
A creature might forget to weep, who bore
Thy comfort long, and lose thy love thereby!
But love me for love’s sake, that evermore
Thou mayst love on, through love’s eternity.
